Columbia University

Carman Hall, 545 W 114th Street

John Schimenti, P.C. Architect, A.I.A.

Project Scope: For the first time in the building’s history, King Rose revitalized the 60-year old Carman Hall into a hotel-quality residence for first-year students attending Columbia University. The 122,000 square-foot build includes all hotel-quality dormitories with modern tiled bathrooms, corridors, study spaces, and an open and bright student lounge that boasts an ecologically-inspired ‘living wall’ of plants and a modular seating area.
